No. All you need is a valid full-driver’s licence (car licence) issued in Australia and you must be over the minimum age (see next question). We’ll provide a full briefing and demonstration before you depart. (This is in line with many other houseboat operations in Australia.)
You must be at least 21 years of age (or whatever your policy is) to be the nominated skipper/hirer and hold a valid driver’s licence. We’ll also ask you to complete the induction and operate the vessel responsibly.
Not at all. One of the big advantages of houseboat holidays is that modern craft are designed for ease of operation. We’ll provide a full on-water familiarisation cruise and practical demonstration so you feel comfortable before heading off. (Other operators make the same point.)

Yes! A houseboat holiday is very family-friendly. We ask that children are always supervised on deck and wear life-jackets when required. Our boats have safety features like hand rails and fenced upper-deck areas.

Your boat includes fully equipped kitchen (oven, stovetop, fridge/freezer), showers and toilets, hot water, indoor/outdoor living spaces, sun deck, safety equipment (life-jackets, fire extinguisher). You’ll need to bring your own food, drinks, toiletries, fishing gear, swimwear etc. (This matches standard industry content.)
